Oh, Poet Radio. This phrase has actually come to mean a lot to me the last few years. When I started my Facebook page in 2015 it was actually under the name Poet Radio, with the intention of giving myself a place to post my writing and get back to my music after a few years of being ill. But to be honest, I didn’t end up doing much with it.
In May of 2017, I reconnected with my writing and decided to drop Poet Radio from the page name. It didn’t seem to fit if I wasn’t going to have multiple mediums to share. This time it took off, and I stuck with it. I found the online writing and creative community and I was hooked. So in August of 2017, I decided I wanted a platform of my own to share all the wonderful and amazing things I was finding. And thus, Poet Radio was reborn. What’s funny, is how long it took me to realize I could use my beloved phrase for my new project.
In my head, I see Poet Radio growing to incredible things. But for now, it’s an online creative community and sharing base for writers, artists, musicians, photographers, designers, dancers – anyone and everyone who has created something out of the love of doing it. Share and be heard!
